Defend and protect our communities. Donate now to City Life/Vida Urbana.

Help us build this growing resistance. When you donate to City Life, you are fighting displacement and growing a movement for true community ownership of land and housing.

Look at what our movement can do when we are organized:

In 2017, we won the passage of the Jim Brooks Community Stabilization Act by Boston City Council, a landmark piece of legislation that enables renters to know their rights and resources during Boston's displacement crisis. We won an agreement with the owner of a large Dorchester apartment building at 200 Hancock Street that keeps rents affordable and conditions livable for many low-income families. We won displacement prevention measures in Plan JP/Rox, the "master plan" for a historically red-lined section of Jamaica Plain and Roxbury. Our 2017 victories are many, and we're marching forward into 2018!

We will continue to organize to get more buildings out of the market and into the hands of the community.

We will strengthen and expand our popular education and organizing skills trainings for our members and our allies.

And, we will continue to strategize with allies nationally across issues to mount a coordinated defense of our homes, families, communities, and land.

But, we can’t do it without you. Thank you for standing with us.
